Welcome to the Crafty Pint

A micropub is a small establishment usually set up in a small premise like a shop. They are small and have unique points that make them different to a normal pub.

The proprietor Andy Davies lives in Halesowen with his wife Sherry and has 31 years’ experience as a technician in the pub industry.

The Crafty Pint serves hand crafted real ales and traditional ciders, some made by microbrewers in the Midlands. We are customer focused and open to suggestions. We will also serve some wine and prosecco. There are no mainstream products such as lager and alcopops. We do serve a hand-crafted lager from Wye Valley brewery. At Christmas, we may offer things like homemade slow gin, mulled cider and mulled wine. For non-drinkers, we also serve barista style coffees, Fair trade and Birchalls Tea and soft drinks. We serve cold food, such as, pork pies, scotch eggs and other similar items with some nice dips and chutneys. Take home products also available. We also do take home beer. During the day, we also serve nice home-made cakes and toasted paninis.

The Crafty Pint can cater for about 20-30 people. The furniture includes a sofa, soft furnishings and comfy traditional chairs. We want to create a home from home relaxed feel.  Everyone is welcome, including children and dogs if well behaved.

We are open from: 9am – 9:30pm Wednesday – Thursday, 9am – 10pm Friday, 12:00pm – 10:00pm Saturday and 12:00 – 18:00 Sunday. In the future, we hope to open a little later a Sunday. Micropubs are not associated with noisy, drunken anti-social behaviour due to only serving pure hand crafted products. Micropubs generally attract a mature clientele.

There will not be any gaming machines, just traditional pub games and maybe the occasional quiz. We do not have a beer garden. Smokers have receptacle and seating outside.

Andy and Sherry Davies.
